Carol Winkelmann currently practices in the area of estate planning and probate and has worked in the Law Offices of Marjorie J. Stephens since 1993. She graduated from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1987 and graduated from Austin College in Sherman, Texas with a B.A. - music concentration in 1973. After graduating from law school, Carol worked in the litigation section of the City Attorney's Office of the City of Dallas. Prior to law school, she worked as a legal assistant at Hughes and Luce, a Dallas law firm, in the area of litigation.

Carol is a member of the State Bar of Texas and Dallas Women Lawyers Association. She is active on the Dallas Bar Association Community Involvement Committee's Home Project which finances and builds one Habitat for Humanity home each year. She is also currently serving as a member of the board of trustees of the Dallas Wind Symphony.
