John practices in the field of estate planning, after spending several
years in private practice as a commercial litigator. Prior to his tour
of duty in litigation, John clerked for one year with the Honorable Wendell
Griffen in Little Rock, Arkansas, in the Arkansas Court of Appeals, and
for one year with the Honorable John Hannah, Jr., in Tyler, Texas, in the
United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
Born in Oklahoma, John was raised in Mississippi since the ripe age of
three. John is a 1995 graduate of the University of Mississippi, with a
Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Economics. He earned
his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1998 from Washington & Lee University in
Lexington, Virginia. John is licensed to practice law in both Arkansas and Texas.
Outside of his legal practice, John enjoys fly-fishing and hiking in the
Arkansas wilderness. He and his wife, Suellen, live near White Rock Lake with
their dog Petey. |
